In the meantime, we are also looking with increasing concern at many Russian artists who are now losing their contracts and engagements in Europe and at the colleagues who are positioning themselves in Russia against the war in Ukraine.
We condemn any general suspicion
and any discrimination against people because of their origin.
We are against art and artists being misused for the propaganda purposes of despotic rule, or siding with the unlawful aggressors.
The world of music and theatre is international and cosmopolitan;
It is a universal place for artists from all continents of the world.
This is how it should be in the future!
